Heard something interesting today in the video, with N1Kv with the two VSM's if you vMotion a particular VM form VEM 2 to VEM 5 let's say it will keep all of it's settings for QoS policy, ip port access-group (ACL's) as long as it's part of the same N1Kv modular switch.

Sample configuration

So a good design would be to have your VSM's and some VEM's in your DC and some VEM's in your DR location, that way you can vMotion between them.
